Your Promised Land
“But the land that you are going over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water by the rain from heaven, a land that the Lord your God cares for. The eyes of the Lord your God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year.”
Deuteronomy 11:11-12 ESV
God is the source for all your needs being met. We must understand that the path to our prosperity and life is a part of our connection to the covenant! God loves you and I so much that he has made a way for us to access his plan and place for our lives. When Jesus was sent to the earth the plan was always to provide mankind a way back to the garden of Eden.
In fact, the children of Israel escaped Egypt to get to their promised land. That land was a shadow, or a demonstration, of what the Christian life is now meant to be. Our new life in Jesus Christ propels us into the promised land of salvation. Our salvation is a separating of us from the darkness of our past Egypt. Our salvation has bought us into the place of redemption and into our freedom. Our salvation allowed us to enter into a promised land, free from worry, anxiety and stress. Our salvation is where God is, and where His Spirit is there is liberty!
The only thing is, the thing that feels tricky, where people give up and quit…
We have a responsibility to do something when we enter into our new found promised land. Just like the Israelites had to fight giants and push out the pagan people and their gods. We have to learn to fight the fight of faith (don’t worry it’s a good fight…a fight that we win!).
Faith is the lifestyle we now operate under. Faith is a full trusting of God’s provision, His plan and His direction. We allow ourselves to come under what He has given us in His Word, by His Spirit and through His servants. As we grow, learn and obey His ways we come to a place of promise. We come under His land, a land that He cares for, looks after and pours out His rain!
The rain of God’s blessings is available for your life, it is pouring out from the heavens in the land He is personally caring for. Your promised land is flowing with milk and honey. In this land He is leading you beside green pastures, he loving on you with a love that is unconditional and everlasting. When you are in His land, your land, you will see the Blessings over God poured out so much that you cannot contain it.
The reality of a promised land may seem far away today but I love what God said in the book of Joel. When we come back to HimGod has promised to redeem the time back to us (Joel 2:25). He is longing to work with you to fulfil all that He promised to do. Notice I said, He desires to work with you. He cannot do something you don’t want Him to do! Now is a good time to get back on track with God. Go back to the quiet place and hear His heartbeat. Listen to the pulse of heaven once again for your life…it is beating with the fulness life!
“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 1:6 ESV
He started it, He will finish it…what are you going to do with it, today, tomorrow and the rest of your life?
You are awesome (He died for you) and He loves you! See out this day, week and year expecting God to do more with your life than you have ever dreamed of! The hope you have in your heart can be built with the structure of faith. Your faith will lead you to the work you need to do. Your obedience will open up a rainfall of God’s blessing as you consistently build on what He says.
Jesus is Lord!
