Leadership is clear

Focus on the truth. Clearly communicate the word and faith.
Leadership Qualifications 1:6-9 Strong biblical marriage
Children are believers
- no debauchery
- no insubordination
This is hard - children are not perfect and could sometimes be classed as disobedient but we need to believe they are generally polite and loving.
Overseer You are God’s Steward Must be above reproach Not arrogant - humble Not quick tempered - patient/mercy Not a drunkard (need to be on top of) Not violent - lover of peace Not greedy for gain - giver/generous
My focus as overseer
Hospitable Lover of good Self controlled Upright Holy Disciplined
Titus 1:9 He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.
Titus 1:5 Appoint leaders in every town Raise up - delegate - biblical principle
Titus 2:1 Teach what ACCORDS to sound doctrine.
- there is room to move outside the Bible as long as it lines up
- Ensure you can create and make the connection
Deal with subordinates who cause division
