Tests of Ministry - Pt 1
“but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You might even be found opposing God!” So they took his advice,” Acts 5:39 ESV https://bible.com/bible/59/act.5.39.ESV
If you are called you will last.
dug up like clay - found by the master. separated like clay - set aside. washed like clay - cleaned and impurities removed. shaped like clay - moulded and time taken. prodded and poked like clay - to get rid of the bubbles.
The Tests of Ministry - Part Two

- Separated - From the World
- Washed - Cleaned up
- Soaked - To become pliable
- Smitten - Bashed, smacked
- Investigated - wires, poked to find bubbles - what will you give up
- Centred - Placed on the potters wheel
- Stretched and Pulled up - tests your ability to surrender - willingness to obey - must be able to obey to be effective
- Put on a shelf - to be hardened - so you can’t feel the hits
- Put in the fire - for ENDURANCE - sometimes it gets very hot, then cools, then comes back - preparing us for endurance
- Then USED in a powerful way
Psalm 23 - What is a real Pastor!
A real shepherd will survey the pasture before he takes the sheep there. He already has seen. He has tasted it. The Pastor - studies to EAT.
You cannot give away what God has not given you! Scripture. Scripture. The green pastures.
Pure waters - He has been there.
Known by your FRUIT not your tongue talking!
I need to go there. To go DEEPER. Go before the sheep. Pray in tongues more in PRIVATE than anywhere else. Pray in tongues only AFTER you have read the Word for a time.
The Word in me ignites the requests in me in English. Glorify God in tongues when your English runs out.
When you go there - you can take others. It takes time.
He knows the pain. He prepares the table. The sheep need to hear so they don’t get eaten by wolves.
