Rest is a skill.

Being good at rest requires the same level of focus and practice as any other ability.

Infinite options and time kill rest.

Because that’s the thing about structure...it doesn’t confine you—it frees you. When you know the parameters of an experience, you become free to explore within them.

Focus and Balance Focus and Balance as Rhythms, Not Opposites

  • Core Idea: Focus and balance aren’t enemies. You can have seasons of deep obsession and work, but also daily rhythms of rest, peace, and presence that actually multiply productivity. Obsession without balance burns out, balance without focus stagnates, but when they cycle together, they create compounding results.
  • Supporting Scriptures: Proverbs 10:4 (“A diligent hand makes rich”), Ecclesiastes 3:1 (“To everything there is a season”), Philippians 4:7 (“The peace of God… will guard your hearts and minds”).
