Scripture
James 4:1–10 God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Thought
Where answers are found.
Answers are not found in striving, comparison, or forcing outcomes.
They are found in friendship with God.
Wrong desires create friction. Humility creates grace.
When I try to do it my way, I meet resistance. When I draw near, I receive clarity.
Phrase
Stop forcing what only grace can open.
Tension
- Where am I striving instead of seeking?
- Where am I looking sideways instead of upward?
- Is resistance revealing pride somewhere?
3 Movements
1. Answers Are Found in Asking
“You have not because you ask not.”
Ask from relationship, not restless desire.
2. Answers Are Found in Drawing Near
Friendship with God is where clarity comes.
Presence before strategy.
3. Answers Are Found in Humble Submission
Pride creates resistance. Humility releases grace.
Submit. Resist. Move forward.
Challenge
Beware:
- Jealousy dressed as vision
- Ambition dressed as calling
- Striving dressed as faith
Command
Today:
- Draw near first
- Ask before acting
- Submit instead of forcing
Confession
I will not force my way forward. I draw near to God. Grace removes resistance. Answers are found in Him.
