Step into a True Transformation
The Word of God is far more powerful than we realise. We understand in our mind that the Word of God was used to create the heavens and earth but someone how we lose the connection to our own lives. We ‘um and ah’ at the power that is contained within the Word.
We quite often hesitate to believe, we stutter and stagger wondering if it will work this time. Our emotions take hold and fear rises to try and distract our believing. The Word says we have not got a spirit of fear. The Word says we have been adopted by the Father and that fear no longer remains in control. The Word says He will never leave us or forsake us.
All of the promises of God are for us. The power of our words will move mountains in our lives. The prayer of faith will heal the sick. When we agree with others in faith the impossible becomes the possible. The Word of God even states that we can have what we ask for. There is so much power in the Word so where is the disconnect?
The transformation we have received in the born again experience is eternal. We have been made new. We have been re-created. The problem that we face is not with our spirit man. We are a spirit and God has made us new, all sense of eternal death removed in the process. Two small problems remain…what to do with our souls and our flesh.
Our bodies, our flesh, respond and work with the 5 physical senses. Our bodies are connected to this world and is in the habit of wanting the easy way out. We want to finish work early because we are tired. We are tempted to eat too much. We want stuff that we know isn’t good for us but it feels wonderful to do. Our bodies are trained. Our bodies can be controlled and dominated by our spirit and our souls if they agree with one another.
Our soul is made up of three important sections. Our mind, our will and our emotions. This is where the software of our life operates. Our minds process everything that it receives. Our minds section things off as necessary, important or worthless. Our minds receive. Our will decides to follow the instructions that it receives from the mind. It decides whether or not what someone says is true and worth fighting for. Our will decides to lead or to follow. Our emotions are the temperature gauge of the soul. They respond to good, to danger, to people, to assumptions and prearranged decisions. Our emotions can rise and fall or they can remain in check. Our emotions are important but can never be relied on to make a decision. Our decisions must be taken with reason and aligning our thinking with the correct information. The height of correct information is located in God’s Word.
The Bible makes it clear that it is the ability of our mind to be transformed as to whether we will understand and respond to the will of God for our lives. Our mind filled with the correct information can lead us to prosperity and success. Our mind trained in fear and disappointment will make decisions that consistently lead us to failure.
The true transformation of our soul is what is needed to dominate in life. When Jesus provided us with the total victory and raised up into heaven He placed us in position. Being placed where we are we have authority, we have the ability to connect with the Spirit of God. We can hear and move on the Word that heaven has spoken to our hearts however, if our minds can’t see or receive what Jesus attained we cannot live it out.
Our minds are truly the defining factor in our success or failure. Joshua was told to meditate on the Word day and night. He needed to see, hear and talk what God had told him. The decisions that Joshua would need to make were too important for him to miss it. He held the Israelite nation in his hands. They needed leadership and direction and Joshua needed to know what God had said. God’s Word was necessary and it needed to be engrained in Joshua’s heart and mind. Joshua needed to have daily access to the encouragement, leadership and direction that the Word of God brings.
You may not hold a million Israelite’s destiny in your hands but you have a family. You have people surrounding you. You affect many people in your life. You could meet and talk to the next Billy Graham. You are important and your life is important to God and to the world!
