The Gift in you WORKS!
I know I have been talking about this a great deal recently but I really believe it.
You are filled with potential. As a Christian your life has been given a second chance. You were on the way to an eternal grave. You were facing the judgement of hell and the court case was stacked against you. It was impossible for you to escape the destiny that was set against you. Then Jesus turned up on the scene.
He paid the price you owed. He settled the course of justice that mankind was to pay. The rebellion of man was reversed and if a man or woman now made the humble decision to submit to the plan God instituted they were saved.
The price Jesus paid, combined with the decision you made to make Him Lord of your life, birthed inside you a new spirit. You were born again. In the package that comes with your salvation you will find the new and fresh. You become filled with energising power to enable you to follow the perfect plan that God has for you.
Not only did God put into plan the plan of salvation but He gave you the ability to align yourself with the broader plan. This new plan is designed for you and put into motion as you step into the fulness of salvation. God laid out an assignment and a job for you to do. He has something important for you to achieve. I don’t know what that is for you but I know that He has given you what you need to walk out this important destiny. God orders the steps of the righteous.
God has placed within you the gift that works.
Paul told Timothy to fan into flame the gift inside. That gift was not a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. That gift has a power source, has the compassion to reach out and has the mental ability to see what needs to be done and how to do it. The gift inside you has no fear, there is a supernatural boldness that will rise up. You can over ride the feelings of doubt and unbelief and tap into faith and determination.
The gift in you works.
When you step out of your natural comfort zone and follow the plan you can expect the gift to work. It might be a gift of speaking, of being a parent, of creating a business or singing praises to God. You might be a motivator, a challenger, a professor or even a visionary. You have the ability locked inside but it will need revealing.
When Paul says to fan into flame the gift there is a part process of revealing. Your gift for the world requires your development. The gift works but the gift might not be ready to be fully revealed. Your first song might fail, you might have a disastrous first time speaking publicly or you might start 6 businesses before you become prosperous. Mistakes will come, people won’t believe in you and you will be ready to give up!
As we walk out the true plan of God for us we will have plenty of opportunities to quit. We may desire to change direction or even to settle for coasting to the end.
The gift works but you also have to.
I encourage you today to asses how you are living. There is a creator in you. Whatever the plan you have in front of you you will need to choose to create or to consume. You can sit and never move forward. You can toss a coin with your life and hope for the best or you can step out and sense the leading of God within. I promise, you will live your best life as you hear and walk out the plan.
Get excited. Get passionate. Get dedicated and decide today to trust in the plan He has for you completely. He has got your back. The Word of God works. The gift of God works. Now get out there and develop everything He has given you. It won’t always be easy, your emotions may go up and then down. I know that when you start, when you keep going, when you never give up your promised land is around the corner!
