Where is your action? Where is your faith step?
This is the challenge. This is the calling out. This is where the rubber meets the road. Waking up this morning I feel the urgency to work, to move forward, to develop my calling. There is a passion inside that says, ‘Move! Do something today and respond to what God is saying….’
What are you doing with what you know to be true from Gods Word?
James 2:17
So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
The word translated ‘works’ here means ‘ACTION’. When you and I follow the voice of God’s Spirit we must operate in faith. Our life is an out working of the lifestyle of faith. Everything we do as believers stems from our faith connection to God. Faith becomes our life and mode of action. Our faith relies on our ability to attach to God’s free flowing grace.
The grace of God is the supply chain. When we are weak, we are made strong. When we are sick, we are healed. When we are poor, we are amply provided for. It is not our ability that steps up to get us through the tough times, it is not by might, nor by power, nor by our intellect. It is by the Spirit of God. God backs us. He sent His Son to die for us so we can return to relationship and fellowship.
The relationship we enter because of what Jesus did is more than a friendship or a ‘gossip pal’. We are able to not only talk to God, to pray, and spend time with Him. We are now able to connect and attach ourselves to the creator of the whole universe. This connection creates a path so that we receive by faith our needs met. Once our needs are met God doesn’t stop there. Before the foundation of the World He thought of your life. He planned out a future and complete success for you. He placed desires in your heart which you can tap into to step into the very prosperity of heaven!
In reality, we are not meant to go to God with our needs. He has already provided for them. In fact, if you only talk to God about your needs you are truly limiting Him and the capacity for your growth. Our focus and our relationship with God is meant to be on a higher level. Our faith should be continually growing and developing to walk in a higher level. Our faith and trust in God needs to enter the vision and desire level. God is a God of vision. He thinks and talks vision. He responds to action that lines up with His vision for your life.
Begin to look inside and go beyond the circumstances surrounding your life. Look to the dream inside and begin to set the path of your life in the direction of that dream. The direction you set is the action you need to process. When the dream, or desire, inside is louder than the need or problem you face you will become ignited. That spark of passion will take you higher and deeper. Learn to fan the flame of the desire within. This blog, my writing, is a part of the action I am taking to respond to the spark inside.
God is looking for people to act on what He has said. That action is the works part of faith. If you are functioning with action it means you are moving forward with the talent and gifting that is placed within. You are hearing the voice of God and drawing on the potential within. Action happens as joy of discovering your purpose floods your being. You begin to see a life worth living!
You have at your finger tips all that you need to move forward. It might start with a praise shout, it might start by finding a scripture verse to believe in. It might even start with you going out the front door to register for a college course. Only you will know what to do. There is no problem getting advice but once you have heard from God and you know in your heart what to do – get moving! Other people are not accountable for the call of God on your life.
The desire that resides in your heart is ignited by the Holy Spirit and is the voice that you need to ACT on. Live your life full of response. Step out and move knowing that God backs you as you act. Faith without action is dead. God responds to faith action. In whatever arena you are in He knows the beginning from the end. He instigated your life. He placed the dream in your heart. He has a plan that when you step out He will support and fulfil.
Don’t give up. Don’t worry about making a mistake. The mistakes will strengthen your resolve. The mistakes will help you get on the right path. When things don’t work out and you know it was the wrong direction learn to pivot. The voice of the Spirit will lead you. Your inner man, your heart, will guide you. Be strong. Live your life with no regret. Remove all forms of depression and step out into the fulness of what God has prepared for you!
Go all out for what God has said. Trust Him for the timing. Move forward at all costs. Know that I am cheering you on, heaven supports you and angels are thrilled to get to work with you! God loves you and sees great things for you!
5 Faith Action Steps to Take
- Line your mouth up with your dream. Your voice stirs up your faith. When you talk the dream alongside the Word of God you are building substance to your hope. Faith is strengthened when you start to believe in what God has said and act on it with your mouth.
- When faith is stirred, make a move. Take a step. Start something. Whatever the dream there will be a first step. You need to make it. No one else will step out of the boat for you. You are the one who moves forward despite the resistance.
- Keep your eyes on The Word. Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith. He dropped the dream in. He will complete it if you allow Him to. Work with His leadership. Don’t separate the dream from what Jesus has said or is saying. It is never worth chasing something that wasn’t first started with Him.
- Help others on the way. Zig Ziglar, a famous public speaking in the 1980s, said “You Can Have Everything in Life You Want if You Will Just Help Enough Other People Get What They Want.” God is watching your actions. He is a God of action and He responds to faith but faith works by love. Your love action towards other people’s dreams is the seed you sow to see your dream come to pass.
- Remember the Lord, your God. Never forget what God has done. In all your succeeding remember Him. He got you there. Your constant reflection and remembrance of where you came from will keep you rooted in His provision. The next dream and assignment is around the corner, God is with you as you stay in relationship!
