Waking up in the morning can be a wonderful experience, especially if you are a morning person, like myself. The crisp air, the warmth of the sunshine and even the emotion of seeing your family as you make your morning coffee. Many things can go right in the morning but many things can also go wrong. Your kids ignore you, you have run out of cream for the coffee and the clouds are severely blocking the sunshine! The emotions of the new day can run high and then quickly low!!
The Bible clearly states that God has provided us with new mercies and new life every morning. As we wake, our first breath is God given. The new day is here, no matter what time you wake up and role out of bed! God is ready for this new day and He loves to see His people blessed and highly favoured, every day of their lives!
You need to realise that God has a plan for the righteous! God has a plan that ensures you and I have our eyes enlightened with revelation, wisdom and light. As we progress in life every step we take opens up new doors, new days and brighter opportunities. God is on the move and has prepared the steps for you to take.
So why do we feel so far from God’s plan? We feel distant and remote, we feel tired and worn out trying to get to where God’s grace flows. We feel like the burden is heavy and too much to carry, we feel like God left us as we stepped out to find Him!
Jesus said that His burden is light. Jesus said His burden is easy.
Recently, someone was talking to me about decisions to be made in their life. They were talking about the prophecies that God had given them and how they wanted to see everything that God had said come to pass. They were making decisions and trying to press on with the path they thought was best but it was a struggle. They were frustrated and slightly concerned whether or not their decisions were correct. The question I asked was simply, “What did God last say to you and are you doing it?”.
When my friend made the simple decision to follow what God had said she told me that immediately the peace of God flowed over her. The burden of stress, worry and concern lifted off. The joy of the Lord returned!
Sometimes as we walk through life we feel that the burden that God has given us is too light. It’s too easy so we start to add things along the way. We pick things up from the side of the path that God has led on or we take a detour to find something else to do because we can’t see down the path, things aren’t moving fast enough. A little bit here and there is no bother at first, we adapt, we increase our natural capacity to accommodate the extra weight but even the strongest of weightlifters will max out if rushed to quickly! You and I weren’t designed to carry random heavy weights! We are designed to carry exactly what God places on our shoulders. He knows when He can increase our pack! When we are strong enough any extra weight God adds will feel light! We can’t rush our growth. We can’t add weights before we are ready.
Don’t add anything beyond what God has given you to do today. Today is a new day. Politely leave any extra baggage beside your bed as you wake up and get on with your day under the commission and assignment of the easy load. Listen to what your heart is saying and not your head. Allow the Spirit of God to speak to you as you move about your day. Listen to His promptings and follow His voice as you navigate your new found freedom!
A new season is coming to the body of Christ. A season of prosperity and a season of openness. The Gospel will be preached across this country with freedom and fire. This is a season to share your faith. There are people who are hungry for the supernatural and hungry for the truth of the Gospel. When you are free of the burdens you don’t need you will be free to talk, minister and to give out of what God has in you for others. The burden He gives you remains light because you keep giving it away to others. The pack you carry is full of the Blessing of God for others!
It’s always about the Gospel. It’s always about sharing Jesus. Today is a new day for you. Today is the beginning of a new season that will see you be the most successful Christian you can be! Today is the fresh start you want. Today is the day to turn it all over to Him. He loves you. He is for you and He backs you to be a success in this life!
