I am writing this blog post as another National UK Lockdown has been decreed by our government. While I do not agree with the methods I cannot shift my focus onto what the world is doing when quite clearly this time is set aside for the church. We are still in the dispensation of Grace. The time period where the body of Christ has been give authority and victory.
The Word of Lord given above should explode in your heart. This is a Word that you will need to read again and again. It is simple, not complex but it has a depth and an authority to it. It will take meditating on and developing in your mind but this is something to get your spiritual teeth in.
Back to Lockdown 3.0…the wonderful news is that churches are open, yes, you read that right. We are legally allowed to meet, in fact, there is a lot we can do despite what many people think. Bearing this in mind…Christians we have a spiritual responsibility to gear up. I believe we need to be active, not passive in this time.
It is time to start declaring. Something has shifted into 2021. Something is in the air and if you are spiritually sensitive you will feel the change. In reality the church took hits in 202o. The church was dissected by it’s own body, told to stay shut by a people in fear, in fear of a virus that in fact was defeated 2000 years ago.
Jesus dealt with sickness and disease while He was on this earth. He connected with the infected. He preached to the sinner. He got close into the face of the religious. He never shrunk back to the governing forces of the day. He was on an assignment to preach the Good News. The news that the sick were to be healed, the oppressed to be set free and poverty to be eradicated amongst the poor.
When a leader leads He leads by example. The followers follow that example. I am not sure we have been following. The Word says, “Go…”
Statistics will tell us that suicide is at record levels, alcohol sales have shot up…I doubt people will be having a ‘dry’ January this year. The affects of what is happening to normal people because of the course we have taken is immense! Can the cure be worse than the disease?
This is the year that we face. A year of uncertainty in the world. The world is crying out for a saviour. The world has tried science. It hasn’t worked. The world is crying out for a one world government. Governments are failing. There are evil forces at work. The Bible says that all of creation is groaning…
This year we may see things get worse, we will see things that will attempt to shake us but that doesn’t mean we shrink back on our responsibility.
It is our year to flourish. It is our year to pursue, overtake and recover all. It is our year to preach the message of the Gospel in power and might. We don’t rely on the wisdom of man…we PREACH with the unction and the authority of God’s Word and His Power. We have all of heaven backing us!!
When Jesus returns He will catch away the church and then after we have our 7 year party we will return to rule with Him. This is not a scenario that is in the distant future. It is SOON, and very SOON!
Don’t let your eyes wander to the world. Seperate yourself to Him. It is your time. Rise up, church. Declare, “RESTORE!!”
