Words without amplification will not be heard…
A public speaker often needs a microphone to be heard. That microphone signal is sent through an amplifier and then onto external speakers. Power is applied to the signal so that the voice and the message can be heard. Power is necessary for amplification so the hearer can hear effectively. A preacher can speak without power but their message can be limited by distance and other factors. Once sound is amplified it can be sent around the world.
The Church holds within its capacity supernatural power. It is so magnificent that if it is ever released and used the world would never be the same again. The resurrection of Jesus from the pit of hell was a demonstration of that power. The apostle Paul talks about the demonstration of this power in his ministry. Jesus operated with power on the Earth as He was anointed by the Holy Spirit.
The Church needs to allow the power of the Holy Spirit to flow. When power is released through us the message of the Church is once again amplified around the world. It is amplified in your world, in the world you touch and reach. It is broadcast to the world through the global church.
You see, the message of the Cross without power and demonstration is simply words without amplification. The power is contained in the Word but it must also have the added breath of the Holy Spirit to bring revelation and reaction. With the breath of the Spirit revival power is added to the spoken Word. The anointing opens the Word of God to the hearer. The demonstration of the power of God calls the hearer to respond.
Revival is the sound!
Revival is the sound of the church within before it arrives in the hands of the world. Revival is the rushing of the wind before the fire spreads. Revival is the preperation of the church to show the power to the world!
Recently Californian wildfires destroyed parts of Los Angelos. Those fires may have been started by small, simingly insignificant flames. A small spark that caught the dry foliage of the forest, someone using a match or a campfire. If conditions were right the fire department may have been able to shut down the blaze quickly. The conditions were not right, the fire spread too fast.
The winds came. The fire spread. Destruction was shown and seen all over the world.
There is a fire that lives in you and it lives in me. For someone of us it is but a spark, for others it is feels like a raging inferno. It is the eternal flame that was lit on the day you made Jesus your Lord and Saviour. On that day eternal life was birthed inside of you and when you stepped into the baptism of the Holy Spirit you turned up the power supply. Revival is the life of God dwelling in you connecting with the wind of the Holy Spirit.
Let’s think on this. The life of God dwells within you. You are earthen and you contain spiritual power with creative force. Your body has a spirit living inside of you. Your spirit holds the fort of the Holy Spirit dwelling deep within you.
Oh, the depths of the Spirit!
The secrets, the plans, the direction and the leadership that swells within the depths of your heart! God lives in you. The same God that moved at the sound of The Word when creation was projected from the heart of the Almighty. God in all His wonder and beauty sent His very Spirit to posses you! That Spirit bubbles, flows and moves on the inside of you. That Spirit is waiting for you to stir Him up. Revival lives in you. Revival is stirred up by you!
Fan the Flame!
2 Timothy 1:6-7
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
The true fire of revival pours out of you through a spirit filled with power, flowing in love and regulated by a sound mind. The fire that burns within can be turned up and released or it can be squashed and held back. The flame of revival within you can be spread to those around you or kept within your being for a rainy day.
Oh, that we would wake up. Oh, that we would wake from our slumber.
Revival. It’s on my heart. It burns within my consciousness. Revival does something to you. Revival keeps you awake. Revival keeps you alert. Revival tunes your senses to the things that God desires to achieve in this age of grace. Revival keeps you fresh.
Live in Eternal Life!
Everything in creation withers and eventually dies. There is a period of life but changes come. Age comes upon an animal, drought comes to vegetation, or natural shifts in environment bring death. Mankind can cause this shift, destroying natural habitats or adding their presence to the scene.
Things wither. Things shift. Things leave the space that we call life.
When a plant dies it is gone. Its seed may continue and carry on the legacy but once a tree is dead and rotting it is done. The heart of a human never ceases to exist. It continues for eternity in the status that it leaves the planet. The human heart, or spirit, is eternal. It is either connected to death or forever dwelling in the life of God.
The path of eternal death is the saddest and most painful direction a person could take part in. It is sad because no-one has to partake. No-one has to die and go to the eternal fire. It is painful because many people don’t realise that that is their destiny without Jesus. A simple decision fixes your eternal destiny.
Revival lives inside the Church. The fire needs to spread. Turn up your the supply. Live in it. Sense its burning within. Experience the power by releasing it. Live in the Word of God. Listen to the Spirit within your heart. Let revival burn in you. You are eternal. You have life inside you. You are the one to make a difference in the world around about you. You are the demonstration of God’s power and love to the world. You are Jesus to someone.
Be Jesus to someone!
The demonstration of God’s power and His love will amplify your message. Get ready to live the Great Commission. Be ready to lay your hands on the sick. Be ready to cast out demons. Don’t stop praying in your heavenly language. Keep the fire burning and let the wind of the Spirit within fan the flame of power, love and a sound mind. Let revival flow from you.
You have the equipment and you have the supply. Go into all the world…today revival lives and is handed out to the world by you!
